The AIDUCE (Independent Association of Electronic Cigarette Users) teaches us by a statement sent a letter to all presidential candidates. This letter makes the candidates aware of the stakes of the vape in the current sanitary landscape.
The association specifies that this letter was accompanied by various documents to enable them to understand the subject: the booklets created by Aiduce (Everything you need to know to start vaping and received ideas on electronic cigarettes), a summary of studies, the report submitted during the public hearings on harm reduction.
EXTRACT FROM THE LETTER SENT TO CANDIDATES AT ELECTION
Too many articles, reports or interviews only relay the conclusions of studies against vaping but do not take into account the beneficial effect that millions of French and Europeans have already found: Vape is not smoking and allowed many people to get out of their smoking.
Vaping represents an opportunity to push back the first preventable cause of mortality and one of the major public health expenditures, by releasing the initiative of millions of individuals and potentially much more if some actors did not maintain a more ideological controversy than health against the freedom of choice and sincere information of everyone.
France from 2013 confirmed the absence of passive effect to the potential side for smokers, England in 2015 the need to promote vaping under the same precautionary principle in one of the best students against smoking, the France in 2016 demonstrated in the end the positive health effect in young people, Canada confirming beginning 2017 that the popularization of vaping is indeed a liberation tool, the rational and the science putting in doubt the last expressions of actors with ideological interests and economics increasingly controversial.
It is important for the vapers to be able to make their electoral choice according notably to a subject which is not present today in the debates. Yet there are thousands of smoking-related deaths that could be avoided by giving a real place to a healthier alternative to tobacco.
