The Fares (Fund of respiratory diseases asbl) organizes in Belgium in May a conference which will have for subject The electronic cigarette: an aid to quitting smoking ? ".
This conference will host the Professor Pierre BARTSCH, Tobacco specialist, Pulmonology - Allergology, Work physiology as well as Dr. Jean-François GAILLARD, Pulmonologist and Tobaccoologist of the Department of Sports Medicine at
the Ernest Malvoz Provincial Institute to lead the debate.
Summary of the conference :
The electronic cigarette or e-cigarette is on the rise. Everywhere we see flourishing new commercial signs selling this product. Having the shape of classic cigarettes, they reproduce the sensations and sometimes even taste them. They are therefore often presented by manufacturers as an effective and safe smoking cessation aid. However, their effectiveness and health effects have not yet been evaluated. Thus, a certain caution is necessary… The objective of this conference is to take stock of the subject: scientific information, legislative,…. we are expecting many of you on this Health Thursday!
This conference will take place on Thursday 12 May 2016 from 19h30 to 21h30 in Liege, it is free on registration and open to all.
