In Canada, it is a debate that lasts, a deep conviction for some right-thinking people: We must ban vaping advertising! Not long ago, the Canadian Cancer Society joined forces with the Attorney General of Quebec in the defense of the provincial law limiting electronic cigarette advertising.
AN “ESSENTIAL DECISION TO DISCOURAGE VAPING”!
This appeal follows a decision rendered on May 3, 2019 by Daniel Dumais, judge of the Superior Court of Quebec, which invalidated the restrictions on advertising of the Quebec law on electronic cigarettes and authorized the appearance of certain forms of advertising in any place, such as near schools and at the television.
« The restrictions imposed by Quebec on electronic cigarette advertising are essential to discourage vaping among young people, non-smokers and ex-smokers ", said Diego Mena, Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives, Mission and Engagement, at the Canadian Cancer Society, via press release.
