In Canada, vaping professionals are increasingly worried about Federal Bill S-5. Sherwin Edwards, Vap Select's sales manager, is increasingly concerned that the industry is in danger.
S-5 FEDERAL BILL: " VAPING IS NOT SMOKING«
This bill, among other things, prohibits the sale of vaping products (as defined in the bill) to minors, including the sending of these products to a minor; prohibit the promotion of vaping products containing flavorings that are attractive to young people; require manufacturers to provide the Minister of Health with information about a vaping product before it can be sold; limit advertising of vaping products; increase the penalties for tobacco-related offenses.

THE VAPE INDUSTRY IN DANGER

While there are reports of thousands of vapers in Canada, Sherwin Edwards believes that tobacco giants are on the lookout for this lucrative market. « Some of these companies have already created their own electronic cigarette model ».
Claiming that vaping products allow people to quit, the businessman believes that vaping is also a way to reduce his nicotine intake since its rate varies in liquids that can be purchased. « At 0 mg of nicotine, you are physically weaned » he said.
It should be noted that the vapoteries also contest the provisions of the 28 Act which they believe restrict their freedom of expression inside and outside their businesses by preventing them from advertising their products and having them tested on consumers, while forbidding them to express their personal views on the benefits of vaping.
