CANADA: Vape stores will remain closed during the Covid-19 pandemic!

In this period of health crisis, Quebec vape shops were forced to close temporarily, like the majority of non-essential service businesses. If many voices were raised to request the reopening of these, the Ministry of Health has finally ruled against this option!

THE VAPE STORES WILL REMAIN CLOSED!

No exemption, no exception! Specialized vape shops will have to remain closed and online sales will not be authorized during the pandemic, the Ministry of Health has ruled.

On March 26, the Ministry of Health received a request for these businesses to be considered an essential service, just like the SAQ and SQDC. This request was sent by Valérie Gallant, Director of Association québécoise des vapoteries (AQV)

Mrs. Gallant received, a few days later, a response from the MSSS which ruled that the vape shops are not part of the list of priority shops, issued by the government.

The director of the AVQ says she is now trying to turn to convenience stores, where shop owners could leave products on deposit. For the moment, only the Saga group, a group of independent convenience stores in Quebec, has demonstrated an opening.

«The president sends the documents to his franchisees, who will contact me for orders afterwardsSays Ms. Gallant.

If the period is at the health crisis, the economic crisis seems more and more to point the nose!
