The information mission composed of 33 deputies, created in January 2020, is chaired by Robin Reda and Jean-Baptiste Moreau. After having devoted her work to therapeutic cannabis, she began a cycle of hearings on “recreational” cannabis - understood as all the currently illegal uses of cannabis in France. For the mission, the aim is to take stock of the public policies carried out in terms of prevention and repression of trafficking and use of cannabis, to provide an overview of foreign experiences of legalization or decriminalization, and to contribute to a reflection on the possible evolution of the French regulatory framework relating to this substance.
