CHINA: Air China's e-cigarette co-pilot banned from flying for life!

It was sort of deal of the week. A few days ago, we told you about this Air China pilot who wanted to use his e-cigarette caused his device to drop several thousand meters. If no casualties are to be deplored, the pilots have been heavily sanctioned.

A LIFETIME PROHIBITION FOR CUTTERS!

Chinese authorities have banned Air China pilots from flying for life after a dangerous emergency descent caused by a co-pilot vaping in the cockpit, state media reported on Wednesday.

A national carrier Boeing 737 abruptly lost altitude last week after the co-pilot mistakenly turned off the air conditioning in the hope of concealing the vapor emanating from his electronic cigarette.

The plane, which linked the cities of Hong Kong (south) and Dalian (northeast), had to descend several thousand meters quickly as the oxygen masks fell in front of worried passengers.

The Chinese Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC) has permanently withdrawn the flight permits of the pilots present in the cockpit during the incident, state television CCTV said.
