SOUTH KOREA: New warnings on cigarettes and heated tobacco at the end of the year!

As part of its efforts to raise awareness among citizens of the harmful effects of smoking, the South Korean government plans to completely change the images and warning phrases on cigarette packs and heated tobacco by the end of December.

12 NEW ILLUSTRATIONS ON PACKETS OF CIGARETTES AND TOBACCO HEATED!

The South Korean government plans to completely change the warning images and phrases on cigarette packages by the end of December. The Ministry of Health and Welfare has just notified the establishment of an amended law in this direction. For this, he defined 12 new illustrations and phrases that will be displayed on all kinds of tobacco, whether traditional or heated.

The images will show smokers suffering from diseases including lung cancer and laryngeal cancer, as well as the risk of side effects such as sexual disorders and tooth discoloration.

In addition, the ministry is considering the possibility of increasing the space occupied by photos which currently cover more than 30% on both sides of a package. The government changes the graphic warnings every year to reduce the smoking rate. This new system will take effect on December 23 after a six-month period.
