E-CIGARETTE: Greece bans e-liquids without nicotine.

It's a big and above all sad first for the e-cigarette! Greece has just taken an unprecedented decision by banning the sale of e-liquids without nicotine.

GREECE WANTS TO FILL A “FORGOTTEN” IN THE EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE!

A country in Europe has probably just crossed a new red line regarding the freedom of vaping. Indeed, Greece has just taken an unprecedented decision worldwide by banning the sale of e-liquids without nicotine. However, e-cigarette products that contain nicotine will be able to remain on the market.

In order to justify itself, the Greek government explained its choice by asserting that the European Directive on tobacco only regulated e-liquids with nicotine and therefore that all others should be banned. With this decision, the Greek government says it wants to oppose “DIY” (Do It Yourself) in particular.

This absurd decision obviously provoked a reaction of anger on the part of the Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos, a Greek specialist in scientific research applied to vaping.

In a press release he declares " This is a great first in the world. I would like to point out that even in countries that ban electronic cigarettes, the ban only applies to nicotine-free products, while those without nicotine circulate normally, such as in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. This means that a person who no longer needs nicotine and uses zero fluids will have to start using nicotine again. Honestly, I don't know if those who made this decision understood what they decided "

A PROHIBITED SALES PROHIBITION TO SET UP!

The purpose of the e-cigarette is to reduce the damage to the point of leading the consumer to use nicotine-free liquids. What is happening in Greece is paradoxical: At this stage the consumer is pushed to use the e-cigarette only with nicotine or to return to tobacco.

But this new sales ban still seems complicated to put in place. Indeed, in view of the composition of the e-liquid, this amounts to prohibiting the sale of vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol and food flavorings. As a reminder, these products are also used in the pharmaceutical and food industry and are used by example in the famous smoke machines ... To see how the Greek government plans to implement this ban.
