E-CIGARETTE: Von Erl unveils the results of his grand investigation on the vape.

In recent days, many survey results on the e-cigarette have been revealed. There is little, it is VON ERL, the Austrian manufacturer of electronic cigarettes which published the first results of "the largest" survey ever designed on vaping. Once again, these results provide insight into the habits and preferences of personal vaporizer users.


5000 RESPONDENTS FOR A LONG-TERM SURVEY!


No less than 5 people took part in this great survey on vaping around the world. This also reveals interesting results on the behavior, taste preferences and purchasing criteria of vapers as well as on the acceptance of e-cigarettes in society. The questionnaire analysis was carried out by the University of Innsbruck and special attention was paid to the European markets of VON ERL with representative results for Austria, Germany and Italy which are already available. Designed as a long-term study, the intention is to repeat these surveys every year, in order to regularly record global developments in the vape community.


WHAT RESULTS FOR THIS GREAT VON EARL SURVEY?


The survey shows us that the "classic" vapoteur is mainly male and aged 35 years. He wins between 1 000 € and 2 000 € * net per month and mainly uses open systems with fruity e-liquids (apple, strawberry, etc.) comprising a nicotine content of 1 to 5 mg of nicotine per ml.

- 97,2% vapers are convinced that the e-cigarette is less harmful than the conventional cigarette.

- Regarding the switch to the e-cigarette, 75,2% active vapers claimed to have made this choice because " the vape is healthier". In second position, it is the variety of flavors (68,4%) who motivated this choice, quitting smoking comes in third place (65,8%). It is worth noting that more than half of respondents (50,2%) also see a financial advantage to go from tobacco to vape.

- 67,2% respondents use e-liquids with a nicotine concentration between 1 and 5 milligrams per milliliter.

- Regarding vapers, 97,2% Declare that " the vape is less harmful than the cigarette", 1,8% see the e-cigarette as equally harmful " and 0,5% think " that it is more harmful"
- Regarding non-vapers, 43,2% Declare that " the vape is less harmful than the cigarette", 40% see the e-cigarette as equally harmful " and 12% think " that it is more harmful"

- Some comparisons concerning the choice of flavors of e-liquids have been made in several countries. We note that Italians have a preference for flavors " tobacco "(39,2%) then the Germans (57,6%) and the Austrians (52,7%) prefer the flavors fruits"

- Regarding the purchase of vaping products, The Italians (79,3%) and the Germans (84,6%) buy largely on the Internet when Austrians prefer physical shops (81,1%)
