UNITED STATES: The FDA gives a 3-month reprieve to the vape industry.

While the manufacturers of electronic cigarettes had until June 30, 2017 to register their products, the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) has just granted a stay of three more months.

THE AMERICAN VAPING ASSOCIATION EXPECTS EVEN MORE!

In the United States, the FDA therefore offered a three-month reprieve to the vaping industry when registering products. If the original date of June 30, 2017 has been postponed, Gregory Conley, president of the American Vaping Association " think and hope that there will be more". Regarding the other FDA regulations on electronic cigarettes and e-liquids, the deadlines are also delayed by three months.

In the country, the vaping industry has renewed hope with the arrival of the new Trump administration potentially more favorable than that of former President Barack Obama. Gregory Conley has also sent an email from the FDA to confirm the deadline.

« This delay will allow the new leaders of the FDA and the Department of Health to give more consideration to the questions raised by the regulations which are currently the subject of multiple trials in federal court ”, said Lindsay R. Tobias, FDA Policy Analyst.
