A DECISION TAKEN AFTER THE NUMEROUS INCIDENTS RECOGNIZED

Incidents that have already occurred on ships (15 according to official sources), according to the US Navy. To take no risk, the army corps therefore bans this type of object from its frigates and other destroyers. These prohibitions also take effect on other vehicles, such as airplanes or submarines of the American army.

The sailors will be able to vape until the 14 next May, after which, it will be necessary to abstain and find another way to decompress during the long months at sea. This prohibition does not concern not only the military, but also all the civilians present on the ships.
The US Navy does not rule out reversing its decision, in the future, if the legislation concerning e-cigarettes is strengthened, in order to avoid battery incidents. For the moment, it is therefore forbidden to vape in the bases and ships of the US Navy.
