MYBLU, A POSITIVE CHOICE FOR SMOKERS WHO WANT TO END THE TOXICITY OF THE CIGARETTE

New data shows that e-cigarette use myblu de Fontem Ventures could be a positive choice for smokers looking to reduce their exposure to toxic substances.

This new aerosol chemistry study presented at 1st Scientific Summit - Harm Reduction of Tobacco: New Products, Research & Policy, found that the levels of toxic substances in myblu vapor were 99% lower than in cigarette smoke.

At the conference, the Dr Grant O'Connell, director of corporate affairs at Fontem Ventures, owner of the blu brand, said, " In line with emerging clinical data, this study demonstrates that quality e-cigarettes and e-liquids have real potential to significantly reduce exposure to carcinogens and toxicants in smokers who use them as an alternative. »

The study entitled " Chemical composition of the aerosols of the myblu ™ capsule system: a quantitative comparison with conventional cigarette smoke »Analyzed 51 toxic substances for health. Only eight were observed at quantifiable levels including formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acrolein. For each, it was observed a reduction of more than 99% on myblu vapor compared to cigarette smoke. Regarding manganese and selenium, the average reduction was 82% compared to cigarettes) and for NNN, NAT and NNK, it was observed a reduction of more than 99% compared to conventional cigarettes.

« Myblu aerosol tests indicate low or undetectable levels of toxic substances. Total yield was less than 1 microgram per puff of toxic substances tested, ie 99% less than 381 micrograms per puff quantified for cigarette smoke Said Dr O'Connell.

The results of several recent clinical studies have shown that smokers who opt for the electronic cigarette are much less exposed to toxic substances in cigarette smoke.

« It is important that governments and health authorities around the world share this information with smokers who seek an alternative to smoking.“Said Dr O'Connell.

Fontem Ventures is planning further studies with its myblu e-cigarette, including preclinical in vitro studies, clinical biomarker studies, and behavioral studies to accumulate evidence that will be used to assess the risk reduction potential of myblu products by compared to conventional cigarettes.
