Do you know "Enovap" ? Designed in collaboration with tobacco specialists, Enovap is the first intelligent nicotine management system. A product invented and designed in France by a dynamic group that we decided to meet for an exclusive interview. And it's Alexandre Scheck, Chief Executive Officer of Enovap who responded straight to our questions.
Vapoteurs.net : Hello, first of all, can you introduce us to "Enovap" ? What is this project ?
A. Scheck : Enovap has been designed to help smokers and vapers to better control their consumption. The idea is to propose a device capable of varying the concentration of nicotine and this with each inhalation. This helps to better meet the needs of nicotine throughout the day.
Vapoteurs.net : To design this project you relied on the advice of expert vapers and tobacco specialists, how it happened exactly ?
A. Scheck : We spent more than a year and a half meeting professionals addiction, smoking and more generally smoking cessation. We had the chance to listen to the opinion of the great French names who fight for the vape and against the smoking cessation and their return is without call. Thanks to that, we were able to collect a large amount of information and we were able to develop this famous artificial intelligence that we will hear about.
As vapers for only 2 years, we wanted to meet different types of consumers in order to better understand their expectations. It was Mickael Hammoudi from Vape Consulting who supported us in this process in order to better understand the behavior of vapers and offer a user experience adapted to everyone. The least we can say is that they have very different needs and it is difficult to categorize vapers, we all consume differently depending on our habits! What could be better than intelligent software that analyzes consumption and adapts to suit each individual? A tailor-made program in a way.
Subsequently we realized an experimental protocol on about fifty vapo-smokers. It has been possible to make a link between the level of CO in the body and the optimal throat hit for these smokers. It is here that everything accelerated with the filing of the patent and the gold medal in the Lépine contest.
Vapoteurs.net : Since March 22, a crowdfunding campaign is available on Wellfundr. You have already reached 65% of the goal, how do you explain this enthusiasm? Are you surprised by this start too 
thunderous ?
A. Scheck : Indeed, we are very happy to see the success of our campaign in these first moments. But our beginning of success does not come only from our product and its innovation. We have been preparing this campaign for several months to maximize its chances of success.
Beyond our preparation, the enthusiasm of those who follow us is a real surprise for us. Our success is also due to the 2 shows (Innovaping Days & Vapevent) on which we made our first orders from professionals.
But we reserve you new surprises with the possibility of unlocking new colors depending on the amount reached.

Vapoteurs.net : You were in a way the main innovation during the Vapevent, what are the first feedback you have about Enovap ?
A. Scheck : Thank you that's quite flattering! We still discovered a new e-liquid to vape discreetly, without vapor at the Innovaping days.
During the 2 shows, we expected at the beginning to find people resistant to our innovation, such as people who are already at 0mg of nicotine, or even those who are more oriented towards power vaping. Nevertheless, we had a real pleasure to have such good feedback from the enthusiasts and experts who came to our stand to encourage our approach. We really feel that innovation pleases, the youth of our team and the ambition we have is perhaps one of the factors of this enthusiasm.
Vapoteurs.net : The release of the first models is scheduled for the end of the year if I'm not mistaken, is it not a risk to launch such a project when the regulations on e-cigarettes arrive in May ?
A. Scheck : Of course, the arrival of the TPD did not make us smile, but we took the opportunity to reinforce the ease of use of our product, as with the secure filling and without leaks for example. The constant diffusion of nicotine will also be respected. We also plan to adapt the chipset according to this TPD and the application decree of May 20, 2016. We could say that the TPD is a constraint, because it implies modifications on the product and a constant need for information. on the application of this standard and necessary.
To recap, for us regulation is a constraint, but it is not a risk as long as we are well informed about its application.
Vapoteurs.net : Where can we expect to find Enovap afterwards? Rather in a specialized store ? In a tobacconist ?
A. Scheck : Of course, even if our product is primarily intended for ease of use, we know that the purchase and use of an electronic cigarette requires professional advice. Therefore, our product will initially be distributed on our website and in specialist shops. The tobacco shop is not currently a planned or desired solution, let's support these French entrepreneurs who work for vaping!
Vapoteurs.net : From the description, we notice that the Occ resistors from Kanger will be adaptable on the Enovap. Why did you choose to adapt Kangertech ? Can we imagine that other resistances will be adaptable thereafter ?
A. Scheck : The main purpose of choosing these resistors is to allow the consumer to get resistances in his usual shop. We naturally turned to Kangertech, which offers a good restitution of flavors and which innovates in the "coil" sector. The “manufacturer” resistance optic is too restrictive for the user. However, we are considering offering ceramic resistors and also offering a reconstructable RBA version.
