JUPITER: A smartphone that makes e-cigarette!

Are you addicted to cigarettes and your smartphone? What if you found a way to reconcile these two addictions, while preserving your health, by opting for a smartphone with an integrated electronic cigarette: the Jupiter.

vaporcade1It might sound like a joke, but it's not. The Jupiter is a smartphone for cigarette addicts, and for good reason, since it includes an electronic cigarette. A smartphone that you are literally going to vape, to try to do without your bad habit. Its objective: Sto make millions of people dependent on tobacco. (Yeah ...)

Sold separately, the accessory that will allow you to turn your smartphone into an electronic cigarette contains a small reservoir may contain up to 5,8 ml of liquid. It clings to the top of the device to give it the look of old mobile phones with antenna.

The project was developed by the company Vaporcade, specializing in electronic cigarettes in collaboration with Herbert A Gilbert, the inventor of the electronic cigarette. Among the co-founders of the company, vaporcade2also found Seamus Blackley who had, among other things, participated in the development of the Xbox. (Well! What a casting for a tank on a smartphone…)

Note, in passing, that the smartphone, in itself, is sold 299 dollars in 3G version and 499 dollars in version 4G. A bit expensive for an Android smartphone whose technical characteristics are not yet known except that it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It is rather crippling when you know that Android 6.0 Marshmallow has just arrived.

A phone probably very generic that has not even been approved by the FCC, essential step to be marketed in the United States. We will still wonder what the chances of such a product to operate in the smartphone market, as it is today.
