-Hello can you introduce yourself for those who do not know you.
Alain Cappelle:
I am aged 60 years, in pre-retirement, I am known as papy vapote.
-How did you come up with the idea of making wooden supports?
Alain Cappelle:
Being at home, I am a handyman by nature, I had the idea of making wooden toys for last Christmas. I have created a lot of models, some of which are visible on my facebook page. It did not really take I was selling them on ebay at the time
I quit smoking on October 1, 2013, and from the start I had trouble putting away this little beginner's material. I modified some wooden toys and put on sale on alittlemarket.com sales site for amateur creators, there I had my first requests via facebook and vaping groups,
I started to develop new models and I was fortunate to have as a tailor-made vaping vince customer, Vincent unfortunately disappeared. He was delighted with my work, we shared the same values and became friends. He made me some videos to thank me for my work.
His web master, redux, also talks to me. When he died, he suggested that I make a showcase site for my creations, my communications,
- And you only work on wood ??
Alain Cappelle:
Yes that solid wood essentially sipo beech and oak
Recently I started a black range, made of high density mdf tinted in the mass resistant to humidity and heat. I have 6 models currently in black and beech, the marriage of the two will remain I think my trademark,
- You don't want to work on other subjects?
Alain Cappelle:
no there are specialists for that, I am just a simple amateur, I have a 7m2 workshop in my garage and I do not intend to become a pro at my age.
- You do this more for fun than to make "money".
Alain Cappelle:
both i'm unemployed and not yet retired i have a year left so it helps a bit and i love what i do. I make a lot of tailor-made for clients or stores for specific equipment. I like to create a new model or take up a request from a client.
- Any shops you contacted to sell your creations?
Alain Cappelle:
More for their display equipment or liquid bar for tasting their products.
- But not to sell your creations?
Alain Cappelle:
Not really yet, moreover I do everything by hand I do not have a large production capacity
- Do you want to stay on the shelves or expand your mod style range etc ...?
