E-CIGARETTE AND SMOKING IN THE SAME BAG!

The Minister of Health, Dzulkefly Ahmad, recently said the issue of e-cigarette control was settled in a meeting. " The working group is led by Dr Lee Boon Chye, Deputy Minister of Health, who is ensuring that everyone is seriously addressing this issue" , did he declare.

Speaking to reporters after the launch of a Convention to raise awareness for a smoke-free environment, in conjunction with World Tobacco Day 2019, the Minister of Health said 111 premises had been inspected from December 042 to June 2018, including “Ops Khas” and that 2 did not display “non-smoking” signage.

Earlier in his speech, Dzulkefly said the Ministry of Health's efforts to expand non-smoking areas should be seen as a holistic approach to instilling good practice among Malaysians.
