But the situation does not suit everyone, in fact a technical committee within the Ministry of Health is currently working on a review of Public Health (Restrictions on Tobacco Products) Regulations of 2008.
One of the amendments concerns the prohibition of all forms of marketing, including the online sale, on Facebook in particular, of e-cigarettes and e-liquids, among others. The Minister of Health, Anwar Husnoo, confirmed this Thursday 31 May. In doing so, Mauritius wants to comply with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO). even though Public Health (Restrictions on Tobacco Products) Regulations in force, the organization has repeatedly drawn the authorities' attention to the fact that its regulations are not respected.

This is also confirmed by another vapoteur living in the northern region. Addicted to cigarettes for 15 years, he explains that vaping has changed the way he lives. «I found the taste, I do not run out of steam and there is no smell of cigarette.»
