For its first edition, “Moi (s) sans tabac” convinced 160.000 French people to try the experiment. " It is a public health initiative unlike anything we have seen in France. According to the initiative's website, mois-sans-tabac.tabac-info-service.fr, 164.051 participants were registered on Monday evening. These people receive encouraging text messages, advice in case of difficulty, and their relatives can support them. The annual reimbursement package for nicotine substitutes has also been increased to 150 euros since November 1, against 50 euros previously.
