An American report against the vape that has just been released risks making noise and it is important that you take note of it. A Gendarme of Health in the United States takes legal action against the makers of e-cigarettes in California. The CEH (Environmental Health Center) was able to establish from his analyzes that close to 90% of these e-cigarette companies would have at least one product that generates high levels of substances potentially carcinogenic Formaldehyde (FA) and Acetaldehyde (DA), (50 on 97 e-cigarettes tested).

The problem here is that the rates found under normal use largely violated California safety standards. " For decades the tobacco industry has lied to us about cigarettes, and now these same companies are telling us that e-cigarettes are safe.  »Says Michael Green, executive director of CEH.

CEH invokes California Consumer Protection Act, better known under the name of proposition 65. Earlier this year, the CEH took legal action against companies that failed in their duty to inform users about the risks of nicotine with these products. This non-profit organization bought e-cigarettes, e-liquids and other vaping products from the biggest brands between February and July 2015. The CEH then commissioned an independent accredited laboratory to test 97 products and search for FA and DA.

Formaldehyde and Acetaldehyde are two chemical compounds known to be carcinogenic and harmful both genetically and on fertility and pregnancy. The lab used standard “smoking machines” that mimicked the way the consumer uses this product.

Presque 90% of companies whose products have been tested have had 1 or several products that have emitted hazardous amounts of these chemical compounds, in violation of California law. These tests even revealed that 21 of these of these products have issued 1 rates for these 10 chemical compounds times the allowable limit, and 7 products have issued rates up to 100 times the legal limit allowed. The CEH was able to find these same DA and FA levels in non-nicotine juices.
