CZECH REPUBLIC: The e-cigarette equated to smoking in public places.

While May 31, 2017 was dedicated to “World No Tobacco Day”, some countries took the opportunity to put in place binding laws for smokers but also for vapers. This is the case for the Czech Republic where a law has entered into force to assimilate electronic cigarettes to smoking in public places.


VAPING IN PUBLIC PLACES PAYABLE OF A FINE LIKE FOR SMOKING


It was during “World No Tobacco Day” on May 31 that the Czech Republic decided to put electronic cigarettes and tobacco on an equal footing in public places. The new Czech law therefore equates the e-cigarette with smoking and prohibits its use in public places such as public transport, shopping centers or even airports. Violators of the law will be liable to a fine of 200 CZK (approximately 8 Euros)
