THE ATLANTIS ASPIRE: PRESENTATION AND PACKAGING
The Aspire Atlantis is a latest generation clearomizer which we believe is revolutionary! Why ? Because clearly this new model accessible to all can compete with reconstructable atomizers. With its resistance to 0,5 ohm, the Aspire Atlantis is a real steam engine and in plain language, it puts the quality of the sub-ohm vape within everyone's reach! Presented in a plastic box (rather solid), the packaging includes the clearomiser with a coil, a spare coil as well as a spare pyrex tank (a very good point!). As is often the case with Aspire products, a scratch code is located on the back of the box to verify the authenticity of the product.
A DESIGN THAT IS NOTHING EXTRAORDINARY!
The Aspire Atlantis will not revolutionize its design, it clearly mixes the aesthetics of the Kanger Aerotank with that of the nautilus. Nevertheless it remains simple, effective and rather sober, the Aspire Atlantis will adapt very well on almost all the supports which will be proposed to it. In addition Aspire has already started to market spare Tanks (see right) in order to allow some customization.
A REVOLUTION… BUT WHAT EXACTLY IS IT USED WITH?
What's great is that Aspire has thought of everything! For the less reckless who do not want to switch to mod, there is this 2000mah “CF SUB” battery which will allow you to vape on with your Atlantis or with any other keyaromizer with coils from 0,3 ohm , obviously this model has a price (59 Eur approximately). For the others, you can use any mechanical, electronic or box mod with at least 20w of power and which accepts resistances at least at 0,5 ohm. Do not forget, however, that using sub-ohm resistors will require suitable batteries (ex: Efest Purple). Although Aspire advises an optimal use of the Atlantis between 20 and 30 watts, it is possible to use it at 40 watts, and more, even if this risks greatly degrading your coils and lowering your quality of vape.
A SIMPLE-TO-USE CLEAROMIZER FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY RENDERING
The Atlantis aspire only has 4 interlocking parts which makes it an easy-to-use clearomiser. A base that includes a spring-loaded and non-adjustable 510 connector (which can still be moved a little with a screwdriver by pressing from the inside) as well as a large silicone seal (the same as on the nautilus) in order to to offer a total seal, a rotating air-flow ring which has 4 positions (2mm / 2,8mm / 6 × 2,6mm / 9 × 2,6m) and which turns easily thanks to its notched design. The 0,5 ohm resistors offer an extraordinary rendering with the air-flow ring open to the maximum, and the XL drip tip provided, allows a very aerial draft and a significant air flow. Finally, the pyrex tank with a capacity of 2ml will allow you to use any type of e-liquid without worry and the chimney integrated into the top-cap will perfectly envelop the resistance. To benefit from maximum rendering, you will need to use your Atlantis on a battery or a mod with a power of 20 to 30w and which supports resistances at 0,5 ohm.
THE POSITIVE POINTS OF ASPIRE ATLANTIS
- Its diameter of 22mm which makes it a clearomizer that will adapt to most mechanical, electronic and box mods.
- Its 0,5 ohm "BVC" resistors which offer a flavor / vapor rendering comparable to a reconstructable atomizer and which will allow you to use any type of e-liquid (even 100% VG)
- The resistors are reliable and hold up if used under the recommended conditions (between 20 and 30w), more than a week for me.
- Its adjustable Air-flow ring which will offer a real comfort of vape and will allow you to choose to vary your sensations and your volume of vapor according to your desires.
- The replacement pyrex provided by Aspire which was lacking in the Nautilus
- Its price (34 Euros) which, unlike the latest Aspire creations when they were released, remains correct in relation to quality / price.
THE NEGATIVE POINTS OF ASPIRE ATLANTIS
- Its non-adjustable 510 connector, which in our opinion is a small flaw.
- The pyrex is nested in the top-cap and by removing it we are always afraid of breaking it by forcing too much… A smoother and simpler system would have been greatly appreciated.
- The filling system needs to be reviewed, the chimney is not ergonomic and prevents the complete filling of the clearomiser, it even requires a little rigor.
- The big silicone seal (usual at Aspire) which is really not aesthetic.
EDITOR'S OPINION: ASPIRE ATLANTIS, A REAL INNOVATION FOR EVERYONE!
Our opinion will not be contrasted despite the few faults that we could find. The Aspire Atlantis is truly a revolution for all vapers. At the end of the year, we have finally reached a kind of "parity" between insiders and experts of the vape. It is now possible for a person who is new to vaping to have the best immediately, no longer having to feel left out because he does not have a reconstructable atomizer. In addition, it puts mechanical, electronic and box mods within the reach of everyone, which was not really the case until then. And even those used to reconstructable and cloud hunters will find their account there. In short, the Aspire Atlantis combines simplicity and efficiency for a very affordable price!
EDITOR'S ADVICE FOR USING ASPIRE ATLANTIS
- Remember that Atlantis uses Sub-ohm resistors, so you will need suitable batteries in order to vape safely (if you don't know, don't hesitate to ask!)
- We advise you to have bigger clouds to use e-liquids 100% VG
- Since you are vaping at 0,5 ohm, the hit will be much more present, we advise you to lower your nicotine level so as not to have a too powerful hit.
- For a longer life of your resistors, remember to stay between 20 and 30 watts which will be more than enough to have a vape at the top!
