The Social Affairs Committee of the Senate was meeting today for a new reading of the Health Bill. By 29 voice for and 23 against, she "spoke out against the bill" and "decided to ask the Senate, during the public session, to oppose the text by adopting a preliminary question." The text will therefore not be new discussed in the Senate.
In one press release, the Senate Committee on Social Affairs indicated that " the main points of divergence between the two assemblies focused on twenty or so articles ", including « the reinstatement by the National Assembly of the device to strengthen the presumed consent to organ donation ».
The decision will not, however, interrupt the shuttle between the two chambers. The MPs will proceed to the final reading of the health bill on Thursday 17 December for adoption. A timetable that the rapporteurs denounced, the deputies having practically no material possibility to hear the debates in the Senate. »
MEPs will vote on the text they themselves voted 1er December, without discussion of new amendments. This last vote will therefore be purely formal.
