According to information from our Swiss colleagues from Le Nouvelliste, the Valais Council of State would have the idea of going even further than the Swiss Confederation by banning advertising for e-cigarettes.
A PROPOSAL TO BAN ADVERTISING FOR E-CIGARETTE
The Valais Council of State wants to introduce into the health law the ban on advertising for electronic cigarettes, whether or not they contain nicotine. Valais wants to go further than the Confederation.
Valais is vigorously committed to the fight against the consumption of tobacco products. After banning the sale of nicotine products, electronic cigarettes and legal cannabis to young people under the age of 18 from January 1, 2019, the canton could take a further step. Indeed, the Council of State will again this year propose to the deputies to insert in the cantonal law on health a ban on advertising for e-cigarettes.
