It is with great pleasure that I received from our partner " My vapors Europe", The new toy from Joyetech… Rather the new monster from Joyetech," the Evic VT". After opening the package with wide-eyed eyes like a kid opening his Christmas present, I resumed my role of reviewer in order to test this new product as well as possible. The more the months go by, the more Joyetech offers us products at the forefront of what is done in the vape. So does this new “Evic VT” mod live up to our expectations? Can it compete with other products currently on the market? Will Joyetech continue to surprise us? As always, we offer you this article accompanied by a video review for a test as complete as possible.
EVIC VT: PRESENTATION AND PACKAGING
This new "Evic VT" mod from Joyetech is delivered in a solid cardboard box on which we will find some fairly classic information. Inside, a foam protection contains the mod which is well installed to withstand possible shocks during transport. The package consists of mod "Evic VT", of an "Ego One Mega" clearomiser, of a Ni200 resistance (0.2 Ohm), of another in Titanium (0.4 Ohm), of a micro-usb cable, of a wall socket , a silicone cover and a manual (in English on my model). For general characteristics, the Evic VT makes 80 mm height for a width of 45 mm and a diameter of 25 mm. Despite a fairly good size, the mod still weighs its weight probably because of its battery of 5000 mAh which offers quite exceptional autonomy. (it will take 6 hours to fully charge your mod). The 510 connector installed on the Evic VT is of very good quality and will allow you to install atomizers of all sizes. We will stop there for the presentation of the Evic VT in order to be able to go into a little more detail later.
EVIC VT: A MASSIVE AND CAREFUL “MUSCLE CAR” MOD
The new jewel of Joyetech has been very neat, it must be admitted. Despite its massive side which will not please everyone, the finish is really there. Entirely in stainless steel, the Evic VT has two quality buttons, a beautiful Oled screen and a true rectangular shape with rounded edges. And what about the fact that Joyetech thought of delivering a silicone cover with the mod (it's so rare to see that!), The Evic VT holds really well in hand and all the more so with its protective cover. Its design is particular and is clearly inspired by these “ muscle cars »American (Mustang…), Joyetech therefore offers the Evic VT in 3 different finishes: White and Blue Band, Orange and Black Band, Red and Black Band.
EVIC VT: A BOX! 3 OPERATING MODES
The great novelty brought by Joyetech on this Evic VT mod is of course the temperature control. The Evic VT offers 3 very distinct modes including 2 which use the temperature control and are selectable in the menu (by pressing the "fire" button 3 times then by turning the switch from the top to the left)
A) Wv / Vv mode
The variable power / variable voltage mode will allow you to modify your power from 1 to 60 watts (0.5V-8.0V). This is a very classic mode that you will use for your atomizers that do not necessarily require temperature control.
B) Nickel Temperature Control Mode (VT-Ni mode)
This mode includes a temperature control suitable for the use of the Ego One 0.20 Ohm nickel resistance. You therefore have the possibility to modify your power from 1 to 60 watts but also to manage your maximum temperature (100-315 ℃ / 200-600˚F).
C) Titanium Temperature Control Mode (VT-Ti mode)
This mode includes a temperature control adapted to the use of the Ego One 0.40 Ohm titanium resistance. You therefore have the option of modifying your power from 1 to 60 watts but also of managing your maximum temperature (100-315 ℃ / 200-600˚F).
EVIC VT: A COMPLETE MOD AND A CHIPSET AT THE TOP!
The Evic VT has only two buttons to control all the possibilities offered by this box. A button " Power "Which will turn your mod on or off as well as" fire "and another" adjustment Which is on the top near the 510 connector and will allow you to navigate efficiently in the menu. With this temperature control, Joyetech has thought of installing ventilation holes under the box in order to efficiently evacuate the heat. Each time you change the atomizer, the Evic VT will ask you if you are using the same resistance or if you are using a new one, in order to better adapt the function " temperature control". EGO ONE MEGA: SUB-OHM RESISTANCE FOR STRONG SENSATIONS!
If we talk about the Ego one mega, we can say that it is a good quality atomizer that looks a lot like the Atlantis of Aspire in terms of its structure. It offers a fully adjustable air-flow, an interchangeable drip-tip and a capacity of 4ml. The only downside is the difficulty and the lack of visibility for filling, but it is something that can be easily adjusted with a needle bottle.
A) Resistors CL-ni (Nickel 0.2 Ohm)
These CL-ni resistors are nickel based and therefore offer a very low value: 0.2 Ohm. The flavor and vapor rendering is really impressive and using it with the temperature control is really safe to indulge yourself. On the other hand, thrills guaranteed, do not engage in the use of these resistors if you want to have a rather quiet vape. With these, you will have a good cruising speed from 40 watts, you can push them to 60 watts if you want to take a big slap (for me that was really too much).
B) The resistances CL-ti (Titanium 0.4 Ohm)
The CL-ti coils are already more suited to a traditional vape. Made from Titanium with a value of 0.4 Ohm, I had great pleasure to vape with these coils which also offer a very dense vapor and a magnificent rendering of flavor. Less aggressive than the CL-ni coils, you can vape quietly between 30 to 40 watts or use them at 60 watts for a little stronger sensations. Obviously the temperature control will allow you to safely vape.
CAUTIONARY TIPS FOR USING THE EVIC VT
As this box is basic adapted to manage the sub-ohm, you do not have to worry a priori from a safety point of view. The Evic VT has been configured to accept resistances up to 0,2 ohm, so we have the right to trust it. However, take the time to read the instructions in order to make the best use of your equipment. The temperature control present on the Evic VT will allow you to have a regulated and protected vape.
