This could stimulate the production of anti-nicotine antibodies which would trap this substance before it enters the brain. Nicotine should still be the root of the problem in tobacco addiction. A subject that will probably not fail to react nicotine specialists like Jacques Le Houezec for example.

nicoAnd if for arrêter de fumer you got vaccinated? A surprising idea that could soon see the light of day, according to researchers in immunology and biochemistry of the Worm Institute for Research and Medicine (La Jolla, USA). In a study published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry , they explain having developed an effective vaccine to fight the Nicotine addiction . Because this dependence is in part chemical: nicotine binds in effect to acetylcholine receptors (a neurotransmitter), located on neurons.

Result : neurons release dopamine, a hormone associated with the brain circuit of pleasure and reward. Researchers are therefore actively working on these nicotine-sensitive receptors. There is currently a drug that blocks these receptors but it causes many side effects (irritability, depression or hallucinations).
