As a partner of the trade fair " Vapevent "Which took place Paris Event Center le 20 and 21 Mars 2016, it is with pleasure that we made the trip to be present. History to completely close this first edition, the editorial staff Vapoteurs.net has decided to offer you a complete retrospective as well as a gallery including the photos taken during the event.
VAPEVENT: THE LOCATION OF THE EVENT
The show was held at Paris Event Center »Which is a real event space placed at Porte de la Villette. Located less than 40 minutes by metro from Gare de Lyon, our team did not have too much trouble reaching the venue of the event. Accessible and functional, the " Paris Event Center Was clearly a winning choice for the Vapevent. Hotels and restaurants were located all around the event space allowing simplicity for the installation of exhibitors and visitors. The " Paris Event Center Is a place particularly suited to a convention for vapers. Its spacious environment and high ceilings made it possible to dissipate the ambient vapor and improve visibility despite the number of visitors present.
VAPEVENT: AN ORGANIZATION AT THE TOP!
In terms of organization, we might as well say that we were not disappointed, starting with the security aspect, in these times of turmoil we found the various controls present at the entrance very pleasant. The Vapevent team was very present and attentive to the exhibitors so that everything goes as well as possible. From what we were able to see the reception of visitors was done in very good conditions, it must be said that the upstream organization clearly made it possible to reduce waiting times at the entrance. Rémi Parola, director of Vapevent was very available during the two days and we are also grateful to him for the time he was able to give us despite the fact that we are not "professional".
For the practical side, the Vapevent offered everything you needed to be as comfortable as possible: toilets (clean and accessible), a cloakroom dedicated to suitcases, a classic cloakroom at the entrance, several catering areas (inside and outside with two really nice food trucks), two dedicated areas for resting or eat (one for visitors and another for exhibitors out of sight) and finally a conference area and a "press" area. It was obviously possible to take a breath of fresh air outside and come back to the event, which is a good point in the organization of the show.
The layout of the stands was quite well organized and this provided great passageways for visitors. Only the vape media stand was ultimately a little stuck at the back of the show which made it very invisible to the public (but we will not complain since it was offered to us free of charge). Failing to meet many visitors there, it allowed us to meet other media and discuss serenely in a dedicated space. We still regret the lack of places at certain times on the conference area on the verge of rupture (victim of its success in a way)
VAPEVENT: GREAT DIVERSITY IN EXHIBITORS
One thing is certain, we cannot say that the show lacked exhibitors! At Vapevent, we had the pleasure of enjoying a full panel of what vaping can currently offer. French and foreign brands of e-liquids, modellers, industrial machines, wholesalers of e-liquid and material, There was something for everyone. We were able to appreciate the presence of translators at most of the foreign exhibitors, something we did not necessarily expect. In addition to professionals, it was possible to appreciate the presence of the Chaine de la vape, Vapelier, Fivape, the French laboratory of e-liquid (LFEL) or many specialized media (Vapoteurs.net, Vap ' you, La tribune du Vapoteur, Breaking Vap, Danyvape…).
VAPEVENT: SOME INNOVATIVE PROJECTS AT THE RENDEZ!
If innovation was clearly not the theme of the show Vapevent we nevertheless could appreciate the presence of the Enovap team which aroused the curiosity of a good part of the visitors present during the two days with its smart electronic cigarette project. Roykin also made an impact with his " Refill Station "Allowing you to experience the" Do it yourself "in a fun and practical way.
VAPEVENT: A BEAUTIFUL AFFLUENCE AND A ROOM FOR WORK!
Even if the official figures have not been released, the finding is clear and the Vapevent was a complete success. Some of the exhibitors did not hide their satisfaction following the crowds of the event. For a large part of the exhibitors, the interest obviously lay in being able to establish commercial contacts with the shops visiting the show and the absence of private individuals clearly allowed the exhibitors to be able to concentrate on this aspect.
In terms of atmosphere, there were obviously smiles and pleasure during this event but it above all offered fruitful discussions with regard to the regulations that the vaping market must face. During the Vapevent we were able to exchange many hours with the professionals present about the future of the e-cigarette in France.
VAPEVENT: VERY FOLLOWED AND APPRECIATED CONFERENCES
The lounge Vapevent had for interest to offer 4 conferences during the two days and to say that these have not gone unnoticed. The presence by Aaron Biebert, director " A Billion Lives Was obviously a highlight of the Vapevent and its presence at the conference on the ban on vaping advertising Was greatly appreciated. The peak of attendance obviously took place on the second day with the conference on " Transposition of the Tobacco Directive ”Which was very well attended and allowed many professionals to learn more about the regulations. If in the past the conferences did not always attract a lot of people, it is clear that on the Vapevent they were expected.
OUR OPINION ON THIS VAPEVENT SALON
For a first edition, the Vapevent has had its small effect. All the ingredients necessary for a quality show were present and it is with astonishment that we did not see the time pass during these two days. The welcome of the exhibitors was there and even if we did not have time to meet everyone, we were still able to appreciate the fact of seeing so many enthusiasts ready to fight for their profession. At the time of the regulations, the Vapevent presented itself as a unifying trade fair combining innovations and debates on the future of vaping. Everyone had their place there and for that we can only say “bravo” to the organizers!
