UNITED STATES: OREGON VALIDES 65% E-CIGARETTE TAX
Oregon House on Thursday approved an increase in the state's tobacco tax to fill the Medicaid deficit. Lawmakers voted 39 to 21 to pass Bill 2270, which would increase the cigarette tax by $ 2 and impose a new 65% tax on the wholesale price of e-cigarettes. (See article)
