UNITED STATES: THE PRESENTATION OF THE “JUUL” THESIS AT STANFORD

UNITED STATES: LAW TO BAN THE SALE OF E-CIGARETTE IN MICHIGAN


A bill has been introduced in the state of Michigan to prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes to minors. According to state representative Thomas Albert de Lowell, e-cigarette sales are still in a “gray” area. (See article)


UNITED STATES: JUUL CONTINUES 4 COMPANIES IN JUSTICE


Juul Labs is suing four companies trying to profit from the success of the famous e-cigarette. Their lawsuit, the latest in a string of lawsuits brought by the vaping giant, alleges that four New Jersey-based companies, one of which is called "Juul Monster," violated the intellectual property of Juul. FRANCE: GOVERNMENT VALID TOBACCO PRICE BREAKTHROUGH


The ministerial decree should be published in the Official Journal on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, for entry into force from Friday: the 1er March applies the new tranche of tax increases imposed by the government, which wants to increase the price of a packet of cigarettes to 10 euros in 2020.
