AUSTRALIA: Regulations to improve the quality and safety of e-liquids.

In Western Australia (Western Australia), a parliamentary committee estimates that users of electronic cigarettes can currently consume nicotine while breaking the law that prohibits it. According to them, as long as nicotine e-liquids are banned in the country, this will adversely affect the quality of manufacture and the safety of these products.

VAPOTEURS COMMAND ABROAD, BUT IN WHAT CONDITIONS?

In Australia e-liquids that contain nicotine are banned, in Western Australia it is even illegal to sell e-cigarettes without nicotine if they look like a tobacco product. On the other hand, it is legal to consume non-nicotine e-liquids in Western Australia from the moment they are imported.

In a report released last Thursday, the parliamentary committee states "How can consumers be sure that they are getting the product they ordered when the market is unregulated? Anecdotally we know that e-liquid cartridges that are supposed to not contain nicotine actually contain it.  ».

Additionally, users may not know or realize that it is illegal to sell or use nicotine e-liquids. According to the committee, as long as it is illegal to produce and sell e-liquids, the quality of manufacture and the safety of these would remain of concern.

The parliamentary committee recommended to the Minister of Health, Roger Cook to reconsider his decisions to regulate the products of the vape.
