Many countries have taken the Australian model as an example to put in place the famous “neutral package” which should have solved all smoking problems. However, studies on the real impact of the neutral package follow one another and are similar!
60% OF AUSTRALIANS SURVEYED THE NEUTRAL PACKAGE IS NOT EFFECTIVE!
Studies of the true impact of the neutral package, in the world, follow each other and are similar. In Australia, a pioneering country in the field, the result seems to be a bitter failure in the fight against smoking.
Thus, in Australia, five years after its establishment ... A qualitative study of the famous university James Cook University in three cities of the state of Queensland which Brisbane focused on 900 people: smokers, non-smokers, students and professionals of health.
The results are stinging! 60% think neutral package does not get smokers to stop. And they are 27% to estimate that its existence contributes to dissuade non-smokers not to want to try a cigarette. However, the New Zealand and Canada get started. As if what mattered was to "do like the others" and not "to do what works".
