The Israeli Ministry of Education will launch a pilot project on tobacco control at the national level.
As part of this project, not only will smoking areas be removed as soon as fall starts in more than 200 schools but smoking cessation seminars co-financed by sickness funds will also be offered to teachers wishing to get rid of this hateful habit.
The ministry speaks of a “revolution” which will completely suppress cigarettes in schools. We will instill in teachers, students and parents new habits for a healthier lifestyle ”.
