JORDAN: Prohibition of vaping and smoking in enclosed places following Covid-19

If vaping does not really have the coast in Jordan, the country today seems to tighten its legislation a little more by prohibiting its population from smoking cigarettes, using hookahs or vaping in closed public spaces.

FOLLOWING CORONAVIRUS, JORDAN LAUNCHES PROHIBITIONS!

We all remember the religious apologies put forward to try to ban vaping in Jordan. Well today it is the coronavirus (Covid-19) which is pushing the country's government to prohibit its population from smoking cigarettes or even from using vaping products in closed public spaces. As a reminder, Jordan has one of the highest smoking rates in the world.

« In order to protect the health and safety of our citizens, especially in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences, any act of smoking (cigarettes, vaping, hookahs) is prohibited in enclosed public spaces“, Announced the Ministry of Health in a statement released Wednesday.

The Kingdom of Jordan has banned smoking cigarettes in public places since 2008, but the ban on vaping and especially hookah, which is very popular in the country, is a first.
