STUDY: Childhood abuse can lead a teen to vape

Surprising to see disturbing, a new study Publiée dance The American Journal on Addictions explains that people who were abused as children are more likely to vape in their teens.

ABUSE OF A CHILD MAY PUSH THEM TOWARDS "DRUG ABUSE"

This is a new study to be taken with a grain of salt that presents us The American Journal on Addictions. In it, it is explained that young adults who were abused during their childhood are more inclined to vape in their teens. It's hard to believe when thinking about drug addiction following a traumatic event to imagine a teenager throwing himself on an e-cigarette rather than a packet of cigarettes or even certain drugs.

Yet it is indeed the electronic cigarette that is in question in this study. " Many young adults who were victims of abuse or neglect in their childhood struggle with drug addiction. Our study looked specifically at the use of electronic cigarettes and found that childhood abuse can play a key role in e-cigarette consumption in adulthood.“Said the lead researcher, the Dr. Sunny H. Shin, Virginia Commonwealth University.

Conducted among 208 Americans between the ages of 18 and 21, the trial states that childhood abuse was also linked to the tendency to " act recklessly in case of distress". It would be on this precise psychological lever that we should act to prevent victims from adopting electronic cigarettes.

A real study or a new attack on the e-cigarette which is more and more considered as an "epidemic" in the United States. Still, this research is troubling to say the least ...
