According to a new clinical study proposed by Imperial Brands and published in the newspaper Internal and Emergency Medicine, e-liquids with nicotine salts would perfectly mimic the experience of consuming a cigarette. Using these e-liquids would help smokers make the transition to e-cigarettes even more.
HIGH CONCENTRATION OF NICOTINE SALTS IS EFFECTIVE TO HELP SMOKERS
Research organized by Imperial Brands and published in the newspaper Internal and Emergency Medicine examined the reactions of several healthy adult smokers to five different blu brand products. The goal is to evaluate the use over several consecutive days.
The subsequent increase in nicotine levels in the blood following the use of blu products has been rated as "satisfactory" for the relief of the urge to smoke. Further conclusions of the study showed that the myblu product containing nicotine salts at 40 mg / mL was the most able to faithfully reproduce the consumption of a classic cigarette. However, the European regulations in force allow a maximum of 20 mg / ml of nicotine in e-liquids which prevents optimal use.
Le Dr Grant O'Connell, Head of Scientific Affairs at Imperial Brands, says, " Our results suggest that vaping devices containing an e-liquid with a higher nicotine concentration in the nicotine salt form may be more effective and appealing to adult smokers who wish to transition to the vape. »
He adds "In our study, Myblu Intense 40 mg / ml nicotine salt product exhibited the nicotine absorption profile closest to that of cigarettes, while providing the greatest relief in subjects' desire to smoke. However, in accordance with current European regulations, this product is not authorized"
