In the United States, the fight for the right to market vaping products requires a certain rigor. This is particularly the case in the city of Palmdale in California or Defenders of the vape have just rejected in federal court a new order prohibiting the sale of e-cigarettes and flavored e-liquids.
A LAW THAT COULD “DESTROY THE VAPE INDUSTRY” IN PALMDALE!
In California, vaping advocates have just pushed into federal court a new restrictive ordinance from the city of Palmdale prohibiting the sale of flavored vape products.
The complaint, filed by the California Smoke & Vape Association and the shop Cigs More against the City of Palmdale, alleges that the proposed ordinance is " too wide " and " destroy the vape and nicotine industry in Palmdale while harming the livelihoods of the workers it employs"
The Los Angeles federal court complaint, filed Sunday, also argues that the order " is likely to precipitate a public health crisis as users of vaping products may turn to tobacco or the black market"
A member of the Palmdale city attorney's office said the office has yet to receive the complaint and declined to comment. The ban, approved by city council six months ago, targets vaping products that feature fruity and candy flavors.
The complaint seeks a court order permanently suspending the application of the law and the reimbursement of legal costs.
