AN ADMINISTRATIVE STAY FOR JUUL
The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday imposed a temporary administrative stay on its order from last month forcing e-cigarette company Juul to pull its vaping products from U.S. shelves.
The agency said it had suspended the original June 23 order to allow time for further review, but warned that the suspension only temporarily suspended the ban without overriding it.
"The agency has determined that there are scientific issues unique to the JUUL app that warrant further investigation.,” the FDA said on Twitter. However, this decisiondoes not constitute an authorization to market, sell or ship JUUL products”, added the agency.
