Instead of simply copying its neighbor, Smok innovates and now offers quality products. Today, we are therefore going to discover their new atomizer which makes a lot of noise, the " TFV4 Which was sent to us for review by the shop Gearbest.com. So that offers this famous atomizer from Smok ? Innovation is there ? How does it stand out from the competition ? It is these questions that we will try to answer in this comprehensive test that will be proposed as always here with this article and in video.
TFV4: PRESENTATION AND PACKAGING
The TFV4 atomizer from Smok is presented in a rigid cardboard box (the same style as for the "X Cube II"), we also feel the real care taken by the brand in the development of this packaging. Inside we find the TFV4 atomizer, a TF-T3 coil (triple coils), a TF-Q4 coil (quadruple coil), an Rba plate, a replacement pyrex, two silicone rings as well as a screwdriver, cotton wool and a manual of 'use. As far as the technical characteristics are concerned, the TFV4 70 mm in height for a diameter of 24,5 mm and a weight of 92 grams. His pyrex tank has a capacity of 5 ml, the TFV4 atomizer has a classic 510 connection.
TFV4: A CLASSIC DESIGN FOR A SMALL ONION ATOMIZER
The TFV4 from Smok is offered in a stainless steel finish and has a pyrex tank, until everything is classic isn't it? Well not quite because this atomizer is massive, its diameter 24,5 mm will not allow an aesthetic installation on any material and a priori this one was conceived in the first place to be used in combo with the box "X Cube II". On the general aspect, we find a rather pleasant atomizer to watch where a classic and at the same time futuristic side mixes with air-flow inlets located everywhere. If the engravings of the atomizer in itself remain simple, the coils each have a small elaborate design.
TFV4: A CLEARLY ORIENTED "CLOUD CHASING" ATOMIZER
If the TFV4 from Smok is a Sub-ohm atomizer, it is clearly not a classic atomizer! We immediately feel that the brand did not want to focus on a simple atomizer for a daily vape but rather on a beast that will make it possible to make big clouds if you have equipment powerful enough to use it. Obviously it will also be possible to use it in a classic way but this is not its primary function (for proof the selection of proposed resistors). If you are looking for an atomizer that will allow you to vape in a classic way as much as 130 watts on your favorite box, the TFV4 may convince you with its performance.
TFV4: AN ENGINEERING FILLING SYSTEM
If at first glance, innovation is not immediately obvious, we will quickly find the little "extras" of this "TFV4" model. And to start we notice that the top cap of the atomizer is detachable in order to allow filling of the tank from the top. If in general there is a small rigid filling hole, on this model the rubber seal is very flexible and allows the insertion of all kinds of bottles (pipette, needle bottle, unicorn bottle, etc.). In addition, the filling is done with clean and fast way, you open, fill and close.
TFV4: A VERY PERFECTIONED AIR-FLOW SYSTEM
Since the TFV4 atomizer is clearly aimed at “cloud chasing”, Smok has implemented a very sophisticated air-flow system! We will therefore find on a ring on the bottom cap.t 3 fully adjustable inputs and because that was not enough, the brand added on this model an air-flow ring with 4 entries directly also adjustable on the drip-tip. If you like to regulate your inflow of air and especially to have a powerful and airy vape, with the TFV4 you will be served!
TFV4: A GREAT CHOICE OF RESISTANCES!
In addition to the basic Rba founie that will allow you to mount your resistance as you wish, Smok has launched a range of 4 resistors mounted with 100% organic cotton so that everyone can find his account:
TF-R1 resistors : Mounted in single coil, they have a value of 0,85 Ohm. (Reconstructible)
TF-R2 resistors : Mounted in double coil, they have a value of 0,25 Ohm. (Reconstructible)
TF-T3 resistors : Triple coil sub-ohm resistance with a value of 0,2 Ohm (usable between 40 and 130 watts)
TF-Q4 resistors : Quadruple coil sub-ohm resistance with a value of 0,15 Ohm (usable between 40 and 140 watts)
As for the quality of vape, these quality resistors offer a vapor very dense and a good rendering of flavor. Used at full power these cash well shock that should fill the cloud hunters!
WHAT TO USE TFV4 BY SMOK
The TFV4 atomizer has a standard diameter of 24,5mm. It will therefore not be installed perfectly on all mechanical mods and box mods in an aesthetic way. On the other hand, this one is quite suitable for the “X Cube II” from Smok. Obviously, you will use sub-ohm resistors on this model, so you will need hardware that supports at least 0,85 ohm resistors. Do not forget, however, that using sub-ohm resistors, you will need suitable batteries (eg Efest Purple). If you are unfamiliar with this kind of material or you don't know, then don't use it. In all cases, we advise you to check the value of your resistors before use using your mod or your ohmmeter.
